Body? Temple they say

Suffering, I say

I search for words

Over sandy dunes of waterless deserts

Words, I don’t find

How do I spell pain?

When no words happen around it?

Hide, they say

Guilt, Shame, Disgust, I feel

Worms crawl over my skin

My surface burns like the hot sun

Cells shatter to million pieces

Killing themselves

At your gaze.

Love, I say

For the monument

That nurtured, slept, ate

That suffered my abuse

That suffered the enemy’s abuse

That suffered a mystery illness

Killing it from within

Anxiety, Pain, Loss, Endless Darkness

But, my body stayed

Only love, unbound love to pay respect to my monument.
